⭐ In office presence will be required: Primary locations are 101 Col By Drive, Ottawa, ON K1A 0K2 and 2200 Walkley Road, Ottawa, ON, K1A 0K2 with additional satellite locations.
Positions to be staffed:
Stream 1: Manager Planning
↪ Resides in Director Security Liaison and Corporate Affairs (DSLCA) within the Corporate Reporting section. This section is responsible for providing strategic and corporate security program leadership to ensure that the Director General Defence Security (DGDS) is positioned and equipped to deliver its mandate to support the National Defence security policy and objectives of the DND and the CAF. DSLCA is also responsible for Business Continuity Management (BCM); developing, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of DND’s Departmental Security Plan (DSP) to central agencies and the Treasury Board Secretariat’s (TBS); development of the Department’s response to Security Area of Management portion of the Management Accountability Framework (MAF); manage DND’s Security governance program including conduct of executive and functional forums; and the development and implementation of strategic plans, frameworks and processes aimed at delivering on mandated outputs.
Stream 2: Corporate Services Manager
↪ There are two positions that reside in Director Personnel Security and Identity Management (DPSIM). The Personnel Security Screening Office (PSSO) is responsible for managing the security clearance program within DND and the CAF. PSSO fulfils this responsibility by performing and/or coordinating the security screening activities and practices described in the Treasury Board Standard on Security Screening. The second position within DPSIM resides in the Personnel Security Capability Management (PSCM) area. This section is responsible identifying new capabilities pertaining to security clearances (i.e. new software platform to imbue business rules that would prevent the logging of incorrect information at input; permit an artificial intelligence capability to support decision making; automate routine task analysis; produce real-time data analytics and contain a linked interface with HRMS/Guardian and other departmental and national systems).
Stream 3: Senior Manager SPCO
↪ This position resides in Director Defense Security Operations (DDSO) and oversees the Special Access Program. This program is designed to protect defence activities and significant military capabilities by imposing safeguards and access requirements that exceed those normally required for information at the same classification level. The SPCO is responsible for development and oversight of the Special Access Program Enterprise along two primary business lines of effort.

EX.1 Experience managing a security program at a strategic or operation level within an organization.
EX.2 Significant* experience in leading a team.
EX.3 Experience in preparing briefings, reports or presentations to senior management.**
EX.4 Experience in developing partnerships with stakeholders, both within and outside of your organization, to ensure projects and programs remain consistent with directives and priorities.
EX.5 Experience researching and preparing written materials: policies, guidelines and procedures, reports, briefing notes and presentations.
EX.6 Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
EX.7 Experience in the management of human and financial resources.
*Significant is defined as a minimum of 5 years of experience.
**Senior management refers to those holding Director positions or above.
