Intent of the process
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff with identical or similar positions within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), various language requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Information you must provide
In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Experience in analyzing policies and programs
Experience in communicating findings and observations to colleagues
Experience in developing presentations and/or briefings
Experience integrating various analytical/study results
Experience liaising with clients and stakeholders
Experience in organizing and prioritizing assigned work
Experience in providing recommendations on data/information requirements, analytical methods, and/or study objectives
Experience in conducting research and rudimentary analyses and assessing the impact of various scenarios
The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)
Knowledge of analytical methods and techniques
Knowledge of briefing and report writing
Knowledge of policy analysis and development
Knowledge of program evaluation theories and practices
Knowledge of research and issues analysis
Organize work and establish priorities to meet deadlines
Identify and analyse problems and recommend viable solutions
Work under pressure of tight deadlines and changes in priorities
Manage day-to-day activities of the office of a senior official
Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management

Knowledge of current and emerging issues in the mining industry.
Knowledge of the Canadian government's role in innovation and clean technology policies and priorities
Willing and able to work overtime as required and to adopt flexible work hours as per operational requirements.
