As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for the delivery of human resources (HR) operations assistance. Please find below examples of key duties:

• Provides administrative support services in staffing
• Works in close collaboration with Human Resources Advisor
• Processes various HR requests while maintaining an excellent client service
• Performs data entry and/or data validation related to staffing and/or classification using PeopleSoft (HR Management System)

Work environment

While traditionally located in one of the 3 locations with AAFC HR regional offices (Ottawa, Moncton or Winnipeg), the HR team has embraced remote work and all team members are currently working remotely full time. Following a return to the workplace, it is likely the option of teleworking will continue for the team. Candidates from these 3 regions are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

Intent of the process

⭐ This inventory aims to immediately fill Human Resources Coordinator positions in the HR Centre team. If an term or indeterminate appointment is made at the CR-04 level, the employee will automatically enrolled into the Human Resources Coordinator Development Program (HRCDP). The program aims to develop eligible employees to the CR-05 level upon successful completion of the requirements of the program.

If you don’t immediately receive a job offer at AAFC, qualified candidates may be placed in a talent pool to be used for staffing similar permanent or temporary positions in the future. The skill specialization(s), work location, language profile, and security clearance requirements will vary according to the position being staffed.

• Experience in using Human Resource Management Systems (i.e. MyGCHR, PeopleSoft, HRIS or other HR Data Management system) and/or Phoenix Pay System beyond the self-service function.
