◼️ Be recognized as having full-time student status by the post-secondary academic institution at which you are currently enrolled, pending approval of acceptance, or in the process of submitting your application (Proof of enrollment will be required prior to start date).
◼️ Be the minimum age to work in the province where the job is located.
◼️ Be enrolled in an academic program that requires research as part of your curriculum.

Under supervision, the candidate will conduct research to advance public health and knowledge of infectious diseases and contribute to the development of manuscript(s) for peer reviewed publication.

Specific duties will depend on location and area of research.

This process is intended to create and maintain an inventory of eligible Research Affiliate Program (RAP) candidates to fill a variety of positions across the National Microbiology Laboratory Branch (NMLB).

Enrolled in post-secondary education full time or in an academic program that requires research in the curriculum.

Degree equivalency

Experience in performing or researching methodologies in one or more of the following biological disciplines; microbiology (virology, bacteriology, mycology, parasitology), cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, structural biology, genomics, proteomics, or bioinformatics (depending on the needs of the position).

*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.

Note: Each student hired through the Research Affiliate Program (RAP) must meet the security requirements of the position as a condition of employment. Therefore, the student will be asked by the hiring organization to complete security-related documents.
