Duties
Under the supervision of the Manager of Strategic Asset Management, the incumbent will:
• Function as the national administrator for Parks asset management system, maintaining technical support, users and groups, rights and access permissions, and liaison with IT or other stakeholders.
• Lead the development and maintenance of asset information management system training and online-resources, and other user tools.
• Lead the dissemination and sharing of asset information management system to the asset management community.
• Lead national working groups with field unit asset information system data entry clerks and other functional stakeholders (e.g. realty, finance) to continue to evolve the asset information management systems, as well as its adoption across the Agency.
• Provide support to the asset management team in developing an asset data strategy to report on the state of Parks Canada Agency’s built assets to central agencies.
• Work with other national system/business owners (e.g. realty, finance) to improve cross-functional processes and improve systems integration.
• Supervises the work of subordinate staff, team members assigned to projects, and contractors.
Work environment
Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

Intent of the process
One (1) indeterminate position located in Gatineau (Quebec).
Possibility of hybrid work from one of the national hub: Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Cornwall, Gatineau, Québec, or Halifax, with approval of the Delegated Manager.
This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates that could be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic profiles in the same or other parts of the country.

EX1: Experience developing and maintaining a data management strategy, processes, solutions, OR associated documentation to strengthen data management related to real property;
EX2: Experience in implementing, operating and maintaining information management solutions, including change management processes (awareness and training);
EX3: Experience in data assurance methodologies, processes and tools to ensure reliable and consistent availability of business key performance indicators;
EX4: Experience conducting data mining, validation and analysis.

ASSET EDUCATION
AED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in the field of information technology management, computer science, engineering, or management, OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

ASSET EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Experience in project management;
AEX2: Experience of data visualization with Power BI dashboards or equivalent tool;
AEX3: Experience in supervising staff.

• Willingness and ability to travel;
• Willingness and ability to occasionally work overtime or work outside normal business hours
