. College diploma in Video Production, Multimedia or Graphic Design with one (1) year of relevant work experience

Experience

Recent* and significant** experience in all stages of video production for the Web, including pre-production, production, post-production, graphic design, and audio production***.

Recent* and significant** experience in writing for video (scripts, storyboards, concepts).

Recent* experience with the following software: Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium.

*Recent experience is defined as normally acquired within the past three (3) years.
**Significant experience is defined as normally acquired over a period of two (2) years.
*** This experience factor will be assessed through the review of a portfolio of videos recently created by the candidate.

Education

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in Communications, Video Production, Multimedia, Graphic Design or other related field.

Experience

Experience in planning and managing the implementation of Web 2.0 projects (including social media) on behalf of a department, an agency or a business.

Experience in the development of communications products featuring data visualization, including infographics and animated charts or graphs.

C) Experience 1 (Recent* and significant** experience in all aspects of video production for the Web, including pre-production, production, post-production, graphic design, and audio production) will be assess through the review of a portfolio of videos recently created by the candidate. He/she will be asked to submit an electronic portfolio as well as a reference name(s) that can validate the completeness of the portfolio. More information about the logistics will be provided to candidates that are found successful at previous stages of the selection process such as the screening of the experience and education and the written exam.

D) In order to manage the number of applications in this selection process, management may use top-down consideration of scores at various steps in the process, to determine the number of candidates who will be further considered in the process. Selection decisions may be based on the level, breadth or degree of qualifications achieved in one or more qualifications; for example, preference may be given to the candidate that has scored highest on a specific qualification or combination of qualifications.

E) Candidates must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to a position.

F) Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed. The asset qualifications may be used at any point in the process.
