Intent of the process

The Logistics and Special Services Division is looking to fulfill nine (9) positions for indeterminate tenure in the following regions:
- (1) position in Toronto
- (1) position in Vancouver
- (1) position in Winnipeg
- (1) position in Halifax
- (1) position in Quebec City
- (4) positions in Ottawa

A pool of qualified candidates will be established and could be used to staff similar positions with various language requirements (i.e. Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC, English or French essential and various types of tenure (i.e. indeterminate, specified period) within the Privy Council Office and the sixteen (16) regional offices.

ED: A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Degree equivalency


EX1: Experience in troubleshooting audio visual and multimedia equipment (i.e. Videoconferencing equipment, projectors, laptops, video cameras and teleconferencing equipment).
EX2: Experience in a client service environment supporting audio-visual and multimedia equipment for meetings and presentations.
EX3: Experience in a client service environment or customer relations providing briefings, training and support to a person with senior managerial responsibility, or equivalent.
EX4: Experience in providing multimedia solution recommendations based on a variety of client needs.

Information on language requirements


K1: Knowledge of the use of audio-visual and multimedia equipment to support virtual meetings including the provision of simultaneous interpretation.
K2: Knowledge of operation of multi-media equipment in a boardroom / conference facility environment to support in-person and virtual meetings.


A1: Ability to provide technical support for various multimedia systems (ie.set-up, configuration, testing, operation, troubleshooting).
A2: Ability to work independently, and without direct supervision.
A3: Ability to deal with pressure.
A4: Ability to work in a team.
A5: Ability to communicate orally.
A6: Ability to communicate in writing.

AED1: Post-secondary diploma in Television Broadcasting; Digital Video Post-Production or Film and Media Production or similar field of studies.

-Willingness to travel.

Conditions of employment


-A Top Secret security clearance is required.
-Ability to work irregular hours and overtime (evenings and weekends), at times on short-notice.
