• a full-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited institution
• currently recognized as having full-time student status by the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled

Assessment accommodation

On November 8th, 2021, the Parks Canada Agency announced the details of its vaccination requirement for all employees.

As per the Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for Parks Canada Agency, employees must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate, determinate (term), casual, as and when required, and student hiring (full-time, part-time and seasonal). Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to ensure terms and conditions of employment are met, the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete a vaccination attestation form.



You will be engaged in all phases of FNP Resource Conservation. Specifically, you will be responsible for data collection and analysis, maintaining records and databases, reporting and communicating results, and some interaction with partners and stakeholders. This position will require a combination of field work in front-country and back-country areas around the Field Unit as well as associated office work.

Stream 1:
Assisting with project design, implementation and analysis of ecological research and monitoring

Stream 2:
Providing basic visitor safety including first aid and rescue services as well as regular communication with visitors, partners and stakeholders.

• Knowledge of Parks Canada mandate & how it relates to ecosystem integrity/monitoring
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance requirements of technical and scientific equipment specialized for ecosystem monitoring or restoration projects
• Knowledge of terrestrial/marine environment, vegetation and wildlife characteristics, as well as weather conditions specific to the Fundy National Park area
• Knowledge of basic visitor safety services, experience in or ability to assist in basic first aid and rescue services is desired

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

• All Parks Canada Agency employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and attest to their vaccination status unless accommodated based on a medical contraindication, religion, or another prohibited ground of discrimination as defined under the Canadian Human Rights Act.
• Must be willing to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required.
• Must be willing to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment
• May be required to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation.
• Required to possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Will be required to have your own transportation to and from the workplace.
• May be required to find your own housing in the area. Staff housing is limited and not guaranteed.
