If you possess Public Service Commission second language evaluation results, you are required to submit a copy of your results to the email address identified in the Contact information of the poster by the closing date.
Proof of education credential(s) is required. If candidates were educated outside of Canada, they must have their certificates and/or diplomas assessed against Canadian educational standards. The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials assists persons who wish to obtain an assessment of their educational, professional, and occupational credentials by referring them to the appropriate organizations.
Proof Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status will be required.

Intent of the process
Create a pool of qualified candidates that will be used to staff positions on a TEMPORARY (term) and PERMANENT (indeterminate) basis with various language requirements.

A secondary school diploma

AEX2. Experience in working in the Federal Government
AEX3. Experience at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB).

If you will be required to complete three (3) tests (Reading Comprehension, Written Expression and Oral) to determine your second official language proficiency, you will receive an email from "irb.SLE-ELS.email@example.com" inviting you to a test to evaluate your reading comprehension and written expression skills. Should you fail to respond to this email, you will be automatically excluded from the process. If you are successful in the first two tests, you will receive an email from "irb.Assessment-Evaluation.firstname.lastname@example.org" to assess your oral proficiency. If you do not respond to this email, you will be automatically excluded from the process. In this context, we strongly suggest that you look in your mailbox regularly (including the Junk Mail folder).

The IRB would like its workforce to be reflective of the population it serves. As a result, preference may be given to candidates who are members of an Employment Equity group: Aboriginal persons, visible minorities, persons with disabilities. Cognitive Ability - Level 1
Applicants must complete the Unsupervised Internet Test of Cognitive Ability - Level 1 as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses general problem solving and reasoning ability. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.
