We have grouped the opportunities into 2 streams;
- Stream 1, which are level AS-02: Coordinator, Information Management, and
- Stream 2, which are level AS-03: Senior Coordinator, Information Management.

Depending on the stream, specific essential qualifications are required. We invite you to apply to the streams of your choice according to your interests.

🪐 How to apply
When submitting your application, you will be prompted to answer screening questions concerning the education and experiences requirements listed in the essential qualifications and asset qualifications section. It is your responsibility to provide clear and concrete examples in your responses to each question. It is recommended that you describe the experience examples in specific terms, providing sufficient details so that the Assessment Board can clearly understand. Describe the situation/task, how, when and where you acquired these experiences by giving examples. Duties

⭐ Duties of AS-02s (STREAM 1)
Coordinators' duties include providing services, advice and guidance in one or more of the following areas:
• development and communication of organisation-wide policies/plans/guidelines/procedures;
• management of organisation-wide projects;
• life-cycle management of electronic and physical records, including archiving;
• operations management for electronic systems supporting information management.

⭐ Duties of the AS-03 (STREAM 2)
The Senior IM Coordinator's duties include:
• Managing, coordinating and implementing projects to improve information holdings and department-wide records management systems, services, standards, information and data lifecycle and procedures;
• Integrating CSA's Electronic Document and Records Management Solution (EDRMS) with other enterprise solutions;
• Conducting quality control exercises to assess compliance with IM procedures;
• Providing guidance to departmental employees on the use of metadata and information processing systems and how to include their information in established systems to meet the requirements of the Policy on Service and Digital.

FLEXIBLE WORK:
Depending on the nature of the work required by the position and the operational needs, hybrid and flexible work arrangements, such as a combination of on-site and telework and compressed work schedules, are possible. Following the latest orientation from the Treasury Board Secretariat, the Canadian Space Agency has adopted a hybrid work model that will see employees working on-site at least two days per week, or the equivalent of 40% of their normal schedule depending on the agreement that will be discussed with their supervisor.

Intent of the process

The immediate intention of this process is to fill an AS-03 position on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of qualified candidates will be established to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, acting, secondment or assignment) and create a pool of partially-qualified candidates for future AS-02 needs.

🚀 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 🚀

EDUCATION (For all streams):
• Diploma of a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position (for example: college diploma in documentation, in information management or in information and library technologies; university certificate in records management and archives, in digital information management or in archives; bachelor’s or master’s degree in library sciences, in museum, archives or information sciences).

OR

• An acceptable combination of education* and direct, hands-on experience of at least 2 years in electronic records management, in an archives, library or open government setting.

* Meeting the minimum standard of a secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

EXPERIENCE:
For all streams
• Experience** in records management or library work.

• Experience in the development and implementation of information management processes or procedures.

Stream 2: AS-03 Senior Coordinator, IM only
• Experience in project management related to information management.

**For stream 2 (AS-03), we are looking for a depth and breadth of experience typically acquired by a person who has worked for a period of approximately three (3) years in records management or library work.

💻 ASSET QUALIFICATIONS 💻

EXPERIENCE (All streams)

• Experience in providing advice to management in a field related to the position.

• Experience in using Opentext's Content Server information management system (GCdocs).

• Experience in implementing or managing the Open Governement initiative.

• Experience coaching, mentoring or supervising employees.

• Experience in the implementation of initiatives linked to the Directive on Service and Digital from the Treasury Board of Canada.
