Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the selected candidate will work remotely from his/her residence location until further notice. When the decision is made for Elections Canada employees to return to the workplace, the successful candidate is expected to work at the traditional workplace located at 30, Victoria Street, in Gatineau with a combination of remote work all while ensuring a flexible work schedule.
Intent of the process
The immediate intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position with various linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, English or French essential).
In addition, a pool of fully or partially qualified candidates will be established to staff similar or identical positions within Elections Canada with various tenures (indeterminate, various specified periods) and various linguistic profiles (Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, English or French essential).

Information you must provide
In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group OR eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA).
Experience in analyzing and synthesizing financial information from multiple sources to identify issues.
Experience in providing guidance to internal or external clients.
Recent* and significant** experience in conducting audits such as compliance, financial or internal audits.
* Recent is defined as experience acquired in the last 4 years.
** Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience acquired with full-time performance of duties for a minimum period of one (1) year.

Recognized accounting, designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA).
