Duties

Visitor service, revenue collection and daily cleaning/maintenance at campgrounds to enhance the visitor’s experience. This includes but is not limited to greeting visitors and providing orientation, information and direction; confirming reservations; selling of campsites; daily cleaning of campground washroom and other facilities, day use area washrooms/pit privies, campsite cleaning/maintenance, grounds cleaning and litter picking and emptying of trash and recycling receptacles.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Willing and able to work shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime
• Willing and able to work outdoors and be exposed to various weather conditions
• Willing and able to perform tasks such as: lifting heavy items, picking litter, custodial tasks and site maintenance
• Willing and able to demonstrate tasks to others
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Alberta class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
• Willing and able to be exposed to noxious odours from cleaning products, primitive rest facilities and/or dust
• Willing and able to sit and stand for prolonged periods and/or clean facilities/grounds

Conditions of employment

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Security Screening: obtain and maintain a Reliability status (must be attained prior to appointment)
• Willing and able to wear identifier clothing and personal safety equipment
