About the position
The Director of Partnerships leads a regionally focused team responsible for generating and advancing opportunities to build and finance affordable housing at scale, within their region*. The Director oversees lead generation, navigation support, the development of financial partnerships, and the assessment of proposals, guiding projects from early concept through to investment-ready transactions aligned with Build Canada Homes’ (BCH) mandate and frameworks.In addition, the Director advances BCH’s strategic approach to partnerships within their region* by building strong relationships with government and sector partners as well as guiding the structuring of complex transactions. The Director contributes regional insight to BCH’s organisational priorities and works collaboratively across policy, investment, operations, systems, and communications functions to ensure effective coordination and consistent engagement with key stakeholders and partners.*Regions include :
• Quebec-Atlantic region: defined as Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island (PEI), and Newfoundland and Labrador.
• West region (anticipatory): defined as British Colombia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
• Ontario region (anticipatory): defined as the entire province of Ontario.▶ Who we are looking forBuild Canada Homes (BCH) is seeking an experienced housing-sector leader with deep experience structuring and managing complex housing agreements and a strong understanding of affordable housing development and finance. The ideal candidate will bring a demonstrated record of building and managing partnerships across government, non-profit, private, and financial sectors, as well as experience guiding complex transactions from concept to execution.The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to lead negotiations, manage sophisticated stakeholder relationships, and advise senior executives on high-value, high-impact financial decisions. They will be a collaborative and strategic leader, experienced in managing high-performing teams and working horizontally across policy, investment, and operational functions. With strong judgement, analytical rigour, and a solutions-oriented mindset, they will be capable of contributing strategically at the national level while driving tangible results within their region*.
Build Canada Homes (BCH) is a new federal agency dedicated to building affordable housing at scale. BCH will leverage public lands, offer flexible financial incentives, attract private capital, facilitate large portfolio projects, and support modern manufacturers to build the homes that Canadians need.
