About the position

Duties
The Vice-President (VP) of Indigenous Partnerships will lead Build Canada Homes’ (BCH) integrated, Indigenous-centred approach to supporting housing development and financing across First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. The VP will guide the organisation’s work in generating new opportunities, providing navigation support to communities, and enabling access to financing tools and development partnerships that advance Indigenous-led housing solutions. They will oversee strategies that strengthen capacity, streamline project pathways, and ensure Indigenous priorities are embedded in all aspects of Build Canada Homes’ programs, investments, and advisory activities. The VP will provide strategic counsel to senior leadership, anticipate emerging needs in the Indigenous housing and infrastructure landscape, and steward initiatives that enhance trust, create shared value, and deliver sustainable outcomes for Indigenous communities across urban, rural, northern, on-reserve, and off-reserve contexts.
In addition, the VP will lead engagement and partnership development with Indigenous governments, community leaders, housing authorities, financial partners, and sector organisations. They will cultivate constructive relationships that guide multi-sector collaboration, and shape innovative financing and development models tailored to diverse Indigenous housing contexts. They will also play a central role in governance processes, ensuring strong, accountable, and culturally grounded engagement with Indigenous leaders in BCH’s oversight structures. They will monitor key policy, financial, and regulatory developments; prepare strategic briefings and partnership frameworks; and champion initiatives that expand Indigenous housing capacity and advance self-determined community development.
