About the position
The Data Operations Centre (DOC) is responsible for the management of all processing operations. Operators support census activities by working either remotely or on-site using software and equipment to answer inquiries, conduct data entry, and process questionnaires. Supervisors lead and support operator teams, either remotely or on-site guiding their training, monitoring daily results, and ensuring quality and productivity across all census activities. 🏢 On-site Functions:• Operators support processing activities including the preparation, scanning, quality assurance, and data capture of paper questionnaires.
• Some on-site positions will initially support the Census Help Line (CHL) before transitioning to processing activities later in the operation.
• Supervisors manage processing teams responsible for the preparation, scanning, quality assurance, and data capture of census questionnaires. They ensure staff are properly trained, productivity targets are met, and safety protocols are maintained throughout operations. 🏠 Remote Functions:• Operators support the Census Help Line (CHL) by responding to inquiries received by telephone and web chat. The CHL is where the Canadian public can make inquiries or request assistance in completing their census questionnaire.
• Supervisors oversee teams of Census Help Line (CHL) operators, ensuring quality service, adherence to procedures, and the accuracy of information provided to the public. They monitor performance indicators, provide feedback, and address operational issues in collaboration with management.
