What you will gain

The Client Contact Centre is looking for inquisitive minds to assist in identifying and resolving employee pay issues. As a Contact Centre Student, you will serve Government of Canada employees by handling incoming enquiries related to pay and compensation. In identifying the source of each issue you will get to make a difference in the lives of Government employees.

CLOSING DATE: February 26, 2020

What you will do

• You will be the first point of contact for public servants, active or inactive, to address compensation and benefits enquiries;
• You will assist clients by resolving simple issues as first point of contact and documenting the files;
• You will escalate all other pay issues to the appropriate group;
• You will provide status updates or records a new pay issue on behalf of the client.

We are looking for post-secondary students who:

• Are client-service oriented and dependable;
• Enjoy working in a collaborative work environment;
• Have good communication and written skills;
• Have good analytical skills.

Note: Preference will be given to Canadian citizens who meet the job requirements.

Work Location: Orleans, Ontario.
Duration: Full-time during summer 2020 with possibility of part-time re-hiring during the fall 2020.

Conditions of Employment

Ability to obtain a reliability clearance.

Additional requirements

Students must be willing and able to work overtime on short notice (average overtime ranges from 0.25 hours to 1 hour)
Students must be willing and able to work a rotating schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm (ET) Monday to Friday.
